The National Ventilation MONS100TA Monsoon 100mm 4″ IP45 Silent Axial Flow Kitchen/Bathroom Extractor Fan with Adjustable Timer is a 100mm ceiling/wall mountable silence axial fan that comes complete an adjustable timer (2-30mins) and energy-efficient 7.5W motor.
It is advised to switch off the mains supply prior to adjusting the timer and it should only be adjusted before or during installation.
It has a high air extraction rate of 97m³/h and a 7-bladed impeller with a low noise level of roughly 22-25dB(A) which is 50% quieter than most fans currently on the market.
The fan can be used with longer duct runs due to its mix-flow impeller.
A large terminal block and spirit level bubble make wiring easier and ensure a straighter installation respectively.
In addition, the National Ventilation MONS100TA casing and aerodynamic impeller are made from a durable, high-quality UV-resistant ABS plastic material designed to prevent degradation and discolouration of the fan over a long period of time.
The stylish white profile of the extractor fan makes it suitable for installation in most modern interiors.
Some key features of the MONS100TA include backdraught shutters that prevent backflow and any heat loss; specially designed air flow vanes that reduce air turbulence and noise levels and boost air pressure; a thermal overload protection; and a reliable long-life ball bearing motor with an average service life of 40,000 hours.
It complies with the 2010 domestic ventilation compliance guide, parts F & L of the latest building regulations, and specific fan power regulations.
With an IP45 rating (with RCD present), the 4-inch National Ventilation MONS100TA is protected against tools and wires over 1mm in size as well as, low-pressure water jets from all directions.
Overall, it is suitable for mounting within Zone 1.
